Voyis VSLAM powered by EIVA NaviSuite Overview
Voyis VSLAM, which is powered by EIVA’s NaviSuite software, is a state of the art technology that is aimed at improving the functionalities of underwater navigation and mapping systems. Combinedly termed as SLAM, the Visual –Simultaneous Localization And Mapping processes enable engineers to use sophisticated computer vision algorithms to build precise and real-time maps of underwater terrain. The development of light-map data through High-Resolution cameras and efficient algorithm to process the images, Voyis VSLAM provides, real-time and interactive models of underwater environment and structures that will improve the navigational control and awareness of submersibles.
EIVA NaviSuite, the platform driving Voyis VSLAM, is renowned for its robust suite of tools for marine navigation and survey operations it combines the sonar, GPS, and other sensor data, like the newly incorporated VSLAM derived visual data to provide solutions for mapping and surveying the sea bed. Due to the enhanced data processing feature of NaviSuite, the users easily integrate the visual together with the sonar data hence improving the reliability of the underwater navigation.
